The Hydropak starter kit provides an excellent starting point for growing plants, as all the necessary components are packaged within the 35 litre tank for efficient shipping. The kit includes the Hydrotray Double 10" module, perlite/vermiculite mix (50/50), nutrient, filter, tubing, fittings, and an instruction booklet. This starter kit is ideal for growing a wide variety of plants, including tomatoes, capsicums, eggplants, cucumbers, and more. It's incredible what can be grown in a 10" pot, and commercial Autopot users have achieved outstanding results with thousands of tomato plants using the same growing units as the starter kits.
The tank, tray, and pots are made of plastic, which allows them to be used indoors or outdoors. With a 35 litre supply of nutrient, young plants will have a 4 to 5 week supply, while strongly growing plants nearing maturity will have at least 3 weeks of supply. The Hydropak starter kit can be easily extended by adding more growing points. To do so, simply connect the additional unit to the same supply tank via tubing and joiners.
The best part is that there's no need to check conductivity or pH levels daily, and accurate watering without any run-off saves water and nutrients. The system can be left unattended for weeks, making it a low-maintenance solution for growing plants.
