It is recommended to use clay pebbles with Wilma pots for the best results and ease of maintenance. Clay pebbles encourage growth by providing sufficient aeration to the roots and eliminating the need for a separate nutrient tank for absorbent media like soil.
The Wilma System is designed to stagger watering and feeding to ensure a regular supply of nutrients and water without overdoing it, which boosts growth and overall yields. The complete Wilma kit includes a tank, tray, pots, pump, delivery system, flood drippers, arrow drippers, and instructions for easy setup. Flood and arrow drippers cater to all growing needs, and the system is versatile and can be used with virtually all growing media. It also features interchangeable pot sizes for effortless replanting. However, please note that the kit does not include any clay pebbles, and approximately 72L of clay pebbles are needed to fill up the 4 pots.
Wilma Systems are available in different sizes, with the Wilma Wide XL 8 model measuring 1900 x 900mm and containing eight 18L pots in a 180L tank. They are an excellent introduction to automated feeding and watering, reducing the burden of daily manual watering and minimizing the risk of overwatering and overfeeding, making them a great investment for any grower.
